Data Analytics - Azure Database Developer

Position Summary

A career in our Business Intelligence practice, within Data and Analytics Technology services, will provide you with the opportunity to help organizations uncover enterprise insights and drive business results using more innovative data analytics. We focus on a collection of organizational technology capabilities, including business intelligence, data management, and data assurance, that help our clients drive innovation, growth, and change within their organizations to keep up with the changing nature of customers and technology.Using our Rapid Business Intelligence Solutions, data visualization, and integrated reporting dashboards, we can deliver agile, highly interactive reporting and analytics that help our clients to run their businesses and understand what business questions can be answered and how to unlock the answers more effectively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Crowe is looking for an Azure Database Developer to work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Serve as subject matter expert on Microsoft BI stack, demonstrating platform capabilities and promoting the application of toolset to address business needs and maximize the value realized from technology investment.
  • Participate in the systems development process, including planning and monitoring systems development efforts, coordinating activities with other groups, reviewing deliverables, and communicating status to management.
  • Lead and provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members.
  • Architect, implement, deploy, and support data models and pipelines in an Azure environment.

Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Create a proof of concepts necessary for architectural vision, strategy, and tool evaluation.
  • Document, diagram, and present complex/technical material that can be understood by a non-technical audience.
  • Create and deploy accurate client architecture and analyses relatively quickly.

  • The individual must be a hands-on developer, ideally with 5-7+ years of experience with delivering on enterprise-level systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • The individual must have hands-on experience in Data Warehouse implementation and proficiency in designing and implementing BI infrastructure, including data models, ETL, and data integration.
  • In-depth experience in architecting, designing, and implementing complex data architectures on Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Azure/Managed Instance SQL Server, Azure Logic App, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • A Bachelor's degree in business or technology, mathematics, or computer engineering is required.
  • Possess integrity and a strong work ethic.
  • Strong analytical and verbal/written communication skills.
