What Will You Do:

  • Repair, troubleshoot, and install plant equipment components (specifically working on chemical pumps)

  • Utilize and improve work order system - accurately account for time, parts usage, support/reinforce cost control

  • Assist in the improvement of equipment repair & preventative maintenance (PM) procedures

  • Perform & document preventative maintenance procedures in an effort to minimize downtime

  • Communicate with operations on all work

  • Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis

Positions Details:

  • Work Week and Shift: Monday - Thursday, 7:00AM to 5:30PM

  • Plant Location: Garyville, LA

  • This position will require occasional weekend call-out (including nights and holidays) on a rotating basis

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6 months millwright mechanic experience

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment

  • No immigration sponsorship is available for this role

Physical Demands:

  • Able to lift and carry 50 pounds

  • Ability to bend, squat down, and reach above your head

  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders

  • Must have the ability to wear respirator

  • Must have the ability to wear fall protection

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift certified

  • Experience in a Petrochemical or Chemical Plant

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with SAP, Excel, and Word preferred

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
