What You Will Do:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot and install plant pneumatic and electronic instrumentation.
  • Calibrate, install, and maintain all types of electronic instrumentation including pH, conductivity, level, flow, temperature, and pressure equipment.
  • Run conduit, pull cable, run pneumatic tubing, along with periodically pulling control valves for repair.
  • You may be assigned responsibility for calibration and associated record keeping of instrumentation or other special projects.
  • You may serve on teams developed to increase and maximize efficiency in production.
  • Comply with all applicable site Safety, Health, Environmental and Security policies and procedures.
  • Install and troubleshoot electrical motor controls.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance(PM) on regulatory, electrical and instrumentation equipment.

Position Details:

  • Plant Location: Garyville, LA
  • Work week: Monday - Thursday, 6:00AM to 4:30PM
  • Compensation package: $44 per hour

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Technical certification in instrumentation
  • 3 years of maintenance experience in a chemical manufacturing facility

Physical Demands:

  • Have the ability to bend, squat, climb stairs/ladders
  • Lift 50 pounds
  • Don a respirator when necessary
  • Wear fall protection when necessary

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NCCER Certified
  • Technical certification in electrical troubleshooting/maintenance
  • Experience with DCS, variable speed drives, and PLC
  • SAP experience
