The Machine Repair Technician 2 is responsible for the maintenance and repair of hydraulic, mechanical & instrumentation systems, including machine centers, by applying strong knowledge of mechanical technologies and principles. This position utilizes internal and external resources to solve operational problems related to the above systems and works with more experienced technicians to resolve operational problems with production machinery and equipment in the most expedient and cost-effective manner.What You Will Be Doing
Understands basic electrical distribution and is able to resolve minor electrical problems with little or no assistance.
Replaces defective components and wiring and adjusts mechanical parts, using hand tools and power tools. Documents mechanical or electrical problems and escalates concerns to higher level technicians. Utilizes internal and external resources to implement solutions
Solid ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and assembly drawings for mechanical systems or machinery
Has a solid understanding of the physical principles used in mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
What We Are Looking For
5+ years of experience industrial, mechanical or electrical manufacturing experience required, or 3 years machine repair experience preferred.
Solid verbal and written communications skills with the ability to effectively communicate with others in the organization.
Ability to work in and contribute to a positive team atmosphere. Ability to provide guidance to lower-level positions and continue learning from upper level positions.
Solid ability to read and use mechanical, electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Solid understanding of customer service techniques and displays an urgency to meet customer requirements.
