Position Description


Summary:
Multi-function senior position for mitigating risk in criticized assets requiring high level of proficiency as a manager, liaison, servicing officer and consultant.Requires little managerial supervision on day-to-day operations. Interacts directly with Special Assets Section Managers and unit Manager on a frequent basis on status of portfolio and department policies.

Responsibilities:
  • Interacts with OCCon a regular basisto maintain compliancewith ever-changing inter-bank and regulatory environment.
  • Interacts with CreditReview on credits under review and compliance with Criticized Asset Policy.
  • Develops plans to maintain compliance withlending policies, OCC regulations and other applicable guidelines/laws.
  • Performsreviewof impairment calculationsto confirmloss/reserve exposure on credit.
  • Performs review ofTroubled Debt Restructureanalysis to ensureloan officers properly evaluate credits under TDR guidelines.
  • Oversee compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls as mandated by bank policy and monitored by Audit.
  • Ensures that loan relationships are properly risk rated using the applicable dual risk rating model.
  • Provides ongoing input to management regarding department’s expanding responsibilities as part of an evolving legal and regulatory environment.
  • Provides expertise to Lending Groups’ managers and account officers on criticized assets as well as assets identified as having an increasing risk trend maintained by Lending Group account officer.
  • Monitors reporting requirements for criticized loans maintained outside of Special Assets.
  • Participates in periodic meetings with various Lending Groups to monitor portfolio trends and provide counseling on credits with increasing risk trends.
  • Participates in roundtable discussions with Lending Groups on risk management issues to determine actions for limiting bank exposure.
  • Provides continuous feedback to Credit on trends, underwriting issues and lending policies.

    Basic Qualifications:

    Bachelors degree in Finance or a related field
    At least 7 years of commercial lending experience
    At least 5 years of loan work out experience
    At least 3 years of management experience in commercial lending or work out environment

    Preferred Qualifications:


    At least 5 years Regulatory or like experience
